Ankeg

Large burrowing insectoid predators that attack the bugkin colony from the eastern tunnels. They fight with powerful claws and can spray corrosive acid at their prey. Unlike the civilized bugkin, these creatures show no signs of intelligence or language - they are beasts, not people.

The party encountered Ankegs guarding an egg chamber deep in the tunnels, alongside assassin bugs. The creatures attempted to drag victims toward a pit leading deeper underground, where something much larger lurked below.
