Dirtha's Eels

Two of Auntie Dirtha Bonebender's favorite creatures — enormous eels, each a hundred feet of sinuous muscle and teeth, patrolling the vertical shaft beneath the oasis. They guard the descent into the cavern below the desert.

The two are named Snitches and Stitches, and they bicker constantly:

"Stitches — I think we have intruders." "Snitches, you're always telling fibs."

Their squabbling allowed the party to slip past on the way down. When the eels finally noticed, Dirtha herself sent a bolt of light arcing through the water — but it arrived too late.
