Pixie

Tiny fey creatures with wings, tiny bows, and blow darts. They giggle invisibly and attack with spores and enchantments, treating combat as sport rather than survival.

Encountered in the Feywild near the Great Mushroom, pixies descended on the party with darts and sparkling dust that caused Madam Helena and Kouzlo to collapse. They revealed themselves only to mock their prey - until something pounced from the grass and devoured one of their number.

The pixies vanished when Displacer Beasts emerged, but returned to celebrate the party's victory as if the whole affair had been entertainment. They watched the party harvest the fallen beasts with initial horror that softened into respect, then eagerly guided the party toward the Great Mushroom after seeing Quick's living map.

Pixies also populate the fairy ring near the Great Mushroom, where they serve El's court — playing music, dancing, and attending the feast. A community of pixies lives within the Great Mushroom itself, emerging from the cap and gills to cheer after the party destroyed the shadow creatures corrupting it. These pixies operated the portal room inside the Mushroom, aligning the passage home with practiced ease.
