Thayan Spell Tattoo

A liquid-ink tattoo lifted from the arm of a half-orc sailor cocooned in the head of the Gestalt's biomass beneath the mountain monastery. Werrin recognized the artwork from his old reading — Thay, the work of the Red Wizards. When he traced one of its lines with a finger, the ink came apart beneath his touch and slid up onto his own arm, settling into a shape of his choosing.

Properties: The tattoo functions as a spell-storing tattoo of the Red Wizards' style. While inked into the skin, it contains a single stored spell that the bearer can cast once without expending a spell slot or material components. After the spell is cast, the tattoo loses its color and may be re-inscribed only by a tattooist of the appropriate craft.

The tattoo currently holds Silence.

The owner from whom it was lifted was, in life, a member of a Brakamite settler expedition that found the monastery before the Gestalt found them. How they came by Thayan work is a question for another expedition.
