Karumon the Bound
Brother of King Ramkheret and Grand Vizier of the Eternal Sands in life. Bound to Auntie Dirtha Bonebender in death and forced to serve her ends for three centuries.
The Bone Card: Dirtha summoned Karumon with The Hanged Man in her bone-card reading at the cavern shack — "Drowned king. He who would not give, so everything was taken." The mummy emerged from a sarcophagus in the wall of the shack, rode a giant scorpion as a steed, and pursued the party through the upper levels of the Sunken Pyramid before retreating into the deep.
The Hall of Four Sleepers: The party found him in a chamber of four alcoves, in a central sarcophagus that shuddered open at their approach. He stepped out wrapped and tall — and on Aldric's courtly invocation of the king's name, he bowed in something like recognition. He hated Dirtha. He had hated her for three hundred years. The king did not rest easy; Karumon would rest more easily when the king did.
He told them how to undo her:
"Shatter the clay king's heart. Free him from his duty. That will allow him to be bested."
He then summoned the giant scorpion that had hunted Helena and rode it to slam the door of the king's chamber off its hinges, opening the way for the party to finish what they had started.
At Rest: With the hag undone and his brother freed, Karumon's work was done. He passed into rest alongside Ramkheret.
