Vetherek

One of two golden sphinxes that guard the descent deeper into the Sunken Pyramid. Vetherek has blue eyes and is the liar of the pair — a being of misdirection and clever falsehoods. Despite its nature as a deceiver, it holds to the ancient pact between the sphinxes: one always lies, one always tells truth, and passage can be won by correctly identifying which is which.

Vetherek and its twin Sekahnu are the final descendants of their line, standing sentinel over the pyramid's ancient secrets. The party encountered them during their descent and solved their riddle, gaining passage deeper into the pyramid.
