Arkose Marl

Introduction

The desert has been my home for the entire life that I have known. The sun was my friend before any other, and the rocks below my feet have whispered their stories alongside my lullabies.

From a nomadic sect split from the Zakharans, fled from their fellows for following a heretical text and the belief that all gods are triad in their aspects: Rock, Air, Fire and conjoined / knitted by Water, that which spills, just as blood and tears and piss.

I have been sent by my family to join N.O.D.E. and to find a lost limb of the Shifting Library, said to have ventured into a deeper desert but possibly diluted and washed clean (perished).

I have heard stories of the the Sleeping Forge and determined to speak with it, and that it will speak to me. I want to make sure that the rocks it devours have given consent.

No idea that I'm a Tiefling, since my horns are hidden in a cresting wave of hair, my eyes hidden by a visor, and my tail was removed at birth. Tieflings are actually sacred to our order, as their horns are seen as a natural manifestation of the cresting wave, skin darkened by the sun as though kissed in the womb, and eyes darkened against the gaze of others as though born to ceremony.

"Did you ask that rock if it wanted to be a sword?"

What We've Learned

Arkose joined the expedition exploring south of camp, where the party discovered the fertile field perfect for Moon Corn. During the battle against giant crabs on the beach, Arkose wild-shaped into an Axe Beak which Jorath mounted to ride into battle.

She was dragged into the surf by the mammoth crab - a horrifying position for one so averse to water - and suffered a major blow that reverted her to her original form.
