Corrupted Cave

An arch-shaped stone cavern where the poisoned river emerged, located inland from the Great Tree. The cave served as a cult ritual site where robed cultists in star-speckled cloaks chanted around a massive green egg suspended in a churning pool.

The party destroyed the psionic aberration born from the ritual, clearing the water's corruption. Recovered materials included the Amulet of Whispering Stars, cultist correspondence mentioning reinforcements delayed by lizardfolk, and drawings depicting an underwater tower surrounded by larger versions of the creature.

The cave contained memory-draining tentacles lining narrow tunnels and pools that induced psychic visions of personal trauma.
