When the party destroyed the lava-fed red crystal in the mountain cavern, they received a chilling shared vision:

A vast psionic empire beneath the waves acknowledged them—and promised it was coming.

This was not a threat from a single creature or cult cell. Something immense and organized lurks in the deep, and it now knows the party exists.

Session 20 confirmed the source: multiple Aboleths, led by an elder "older than all," command the Cult of the Whispering Stars and are preparing the unification. The Aboleth told the party directly: "I enjoy playing with my food." It has slain brothers to avenge, a fortress full of followers making final preparations, and the time, it warned, is nigh.
