Healing the Great Tree

The Great Tree exists across three realms - the Material Plane, the Feywild, and the Shadowfell - and the barrier between planes was failing. Direct contact between the Feywild and Shadowfell should be impossible, with the Material Plane serving as the buffer between them.

The Anchor Network: The Great Tree is not the only anchor point. Two others exist:

• The Great Pine (northern mountains) - unexplored, Trogeth's journal mentions a failed attempt
• The Great Mushroom (western swamplands) - unexplored, Trogeth's journal mentions a failed attempt

All three are attunable and connected through the Feywild.

Current Status:

• The Great Tree's portal now glows with Feywild light rather than bleeding Shadow
• The Tree bustles with new life: settlers, a centaur, a fairy dragon
• Golden etchings trace the bark, leaves shimmer with radiant hue
• The chwingas embrace as healing spreads through the roots

Remaining Threats:

• An undead ice dragon of terrible power lurks in the Shadowfell beneath the Tree
• Something ancient has noticed the resistance to its influence
• Trogeth's journal interferes with planar transit and seeks to "thin the veil further"
• Fey Court politics (Titania vs Queen Mab) create underlying tension

Feywild Expedition: The party explored the Great Mushroom and discovered the Shadowfell corruption has spread beyond the Great Tree. Six shadow injector creatures were found driving necrotic tissue into the smallest mushroom in the cluster — the same rot signature seen on the Great Tree. The party destroyed them and the shadow entity they spawned, healing the mushroom.

This confirms the threat is systemic across the anchor network, not isolated to the Great Tree. The Great Pine remains unexplored and may face similar corruption.
